CMC Technology Group promotes investment with Australia

On November 8th, a high-level delegation from the CMC Technology Group (CMC) led by Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of CMC, visited and worked with the Australian Embassy in Hanoi to strengthen the collaboration and enhance the cooperation opportunities between CMC and Australian agencies and enterprises.

The meeting began with Ambassador Andrew Goledzinowski expressing his pleasure in welcoming Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh and the high-ranking leadership team of CMC to the Australian Embassy. During this event, both sides discussed important collaboration opportunities in the areas of digital infrastructure, technology solutions, international business, research, and education, all of which are strengths of CMC.

Ambassador Goledzinowski acknowledged CMC’s achievements in the technology field over the past 30 years and emphasized the importance of international cooperation in promoting mutual development. He also highlighted the potential for collaboration by combining the strengths of Vietnamese and Australian enterprises.

Australia has become Vietnam’s 7th largest trading partner, and both countries focus on innovation, artificial intelligence, satellite communication, and other areas of mutual interest. Ambassador Goledzinowski praised CMC’s investment plan in Australia and its confidence in the Australian market, emphasizing that the collaboration between CMC and Australian businesses could create a brighter future.

The potential for cooperation between CMC and organizations and businesses in Australia is vast and promising. Both sides can leverage their strengths to explore new markets by sharing information and experiences to develop effective strategies for reaching new customers.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Board/CEO of CMC, expressed his desire to continue receiving support from the Australian government, ministries, and departments, as well as from Ambassador Goledzinowski in the future to further enhance effective cooperation between CMC and Australian organizations and businesses. During the discussion, both parties shared their visions and determination to revolutionize the information technology sector, particularly in implementing digital transformation solutions and building telecommunications infrastructure, improving the quality of products and services, and addressing current technology challenges.

In the exchange, Mr. Dang Tung Son, Deputy CEO of CMC Telecom, provided an overview of the telecommunications infrastructure strengths that CMC is developing. CMC Cloud, invested in by CMC Telecom since 2018, has consistently achieved double-digit growth rates over the past five years, maintaining its position as the number one cloud computing company in Vietnam. Currently, CMC Telecom has a dedicated team of over 600 staff, specialized in various fields, including Cloud Team, Network Team, Security Team, all of whom are technical experts certified by AWS, Google, or Microsoft.

CMC also hopes to work with Australian companies to design and provide solutions that meet the specific needs and requirements of customers in the ITO field. Mr. Dang Ngoc Bao, Deputy CEO of CMC Global, mentioned that CMC Global is among the top 3 software outsourcing companies in Vietnam. The company is demonstrating its position with services and solutions that help customers, both domestically and internationally, achieve effective digital transformation.

After that, Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong, Director of the GEU/GUS Business Production Unit of CMC Global, introduced the company’s internationally standardized software export services, Ms. Cecilia Louise Brennan, Economic Counsellor, and the Australian Embassy delegation expressed their commitment to support CMC in expanding cooperation and accessing large businesses in Australia.

CMC Global views the Asia-Pacific market, including Australia, as one of its key markets. The company aims to become a strategic partner that accelerates digital transformation for Australian businesses by establishing software production centers in Vietnam with a young and highly skilled workforce at a reasonable cost. Mr. Ho Thanh Tung, CEO of CMC Group, shared CMC’s strong global development goals. “CMC aims to have at least 7,000 IT talents by 2025, operate on a global scale, achieve million-dollar revenue with 50% contributed by digital transformation services, become a leading digital provider in the APAC region, and consult and deploy comprehensive ERP,” Mr. Ho Thanh Tung said.

Mr. Charles Thursby-Pelham, First Secretary of the Australian Embassy, praised CMC’s development scale, vision, and direction, believing that the key areas CMC is pursuing will significantly contribute to Vietnam’s economic goals. He also affirmed that the Australian Embassy in Vietnam is ready to serve as a bridge to support CMC in expanding its business activities in the Australian market.

During the meeting, the leaders responsible for various areas at the Australian Embassy also exchanged ideas with the CMC delegation to clarify certain topics of interest, especially those related to innovation, research in education, and the development of advanced technologies such as AI, Big Data, IoT, Blockchain.

Overall, the meeting between the CMC delegation and the Australian Embassy demonstrated a commitment to strengthening collaboration and exploring opportunities for mutual growth in various fields, particularly in the technology sector.
