2. Program Objectives
2.1. Overview of the Training Program
Practical applications of information technology and computer science in economic and social management, administrative and financial sectors, business and commerce, have led to the emergence of the field of information systems. Operating in this field not only requires a strong grasp of computer science and information technology knowledge and skills but also a relatively precise understanding of concepts, nature, behavior, and mechanisms of management systems to support timely, accurate decision-making that meets the development needs of the system. Therefore, the practical demand for training engineers capable of analyzing, designing, building, and operating information systems has become increasingly urgent.
Based on research and analysis of the practical implementation of IT workforce training, CMC University has invested in infrastructure, along with a team of leading experts and highly qualified instructors in information systems, to develop a training program and admit bachelor’s degree students in the field of Information Technology with an orientation in Information Systems since 2022. The primary objective is to produce scientists in the field of information systems, ready to meet the workforce needs in an industry considered as the cornerstone of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Vietnam and worldwide.
2.2. Knowledge, Skills, and Accumulated Experience
Knowledge: The training program provides students with comprehensive foundational knowledge in the field of information systems to address scientific and practical issues.
Skills: Students acquire practical skills and apply specialized knowledge to their professional practice, particularly in solving interdisciplinary problems related to computer science and information systems.
Attitude: The goal is to cultivate students into global citizens with strong professional ethics, responsibility in their work, and a cooperative, proactive, creative, disciplined, diligent, open, and democratic attitude.
