Lecturer at CMC University researching on the globalization of accounting education in Vietnam in an international scientific journal

Dr. Nguyen Tra My – Lecturer of the Faculty of Business and Management of CMC University published a research on globalization of accounting education in Asian Review of Accounting Journal in August 2002. With remarkable achievements on her learning journey, Ms. Tra My is constantly passionate about and devoted her efforts to the scientific research career.

Continuous learning journey of the young lecturer

Nguyen Tra My was born in 1992. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree at the University of Kozminski, Poland in 2014. After completing a master’s degree at Royal Holloway University, the United Kingdom in 2015, she was a teaching assistant at University College London (UCL). She completed the doctoral thesis at RMIT University in 2022. She spoke fluently in English and Polish and had many years of experience as an intepreter in these two languages. In addition, Tra My also scored 8.5 on the IELTS.

From 2015 to 2017, she worked as an accountant and auditor at Moore Stephens LLP, UK. Despite success on the path of education abroad and many welcoming doors, Ms. My still decided to return to Vietnam. From 2017 to 2022, she became a lecturer at the International School – Hanoi National University.
In early 2022, Ms. Tra My joined the full-time lecturers at the Faculty of Business and Management, CMC University. She actively participated in teaching and scientific research, so far has published many articles and scientific topics in domestic and foreign journals.

Research on globalization of accounting education in international science journal

Ms. Tra My is the main author of a research work called “Perceiving Internationalization of Accounting Education: The Case of Vietnam” published in Asian Review of Accounting – this magazine belongs to the Q2 group of the SCImago system. This is also the topic that Tra My has studied for 4 years as a doctoral thesis with the desire to find problems in Vietnamese higher education and how to fix it, starting from the place where she is working and researching.
Ms. Tra My shared: Through the research process of these works, I want to understand myself more about my teaching profession, constantly innovating, improving in a better way, creating value for students, in particular, and for education in general. Currently, My is studying other issues and will also have a few more works related to this topic. I hope that all the motivations, efforts and beliefs I put in these works will be well received and used in a positive way.
With a solid scientific research platform after the PhD process at RMIT University, in 2022, Ms. Tra My completed and published 3 scientific research projects, currently completing 2 other works, and just started two others.
