On the afternoon of September 5, 2022, CMC University solemnly held a ceremony to announce and award the decision to appoint Vice President of CMC University for the term 2022 – 2027.

Attending the ceremony, on the side of CMC University, participants include Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh – Chairman of the Board of Directors of CMC Corporation, Chairman of CMC University Council; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh – President; Mr. Ho Nhu Hai – Vice President; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy – Chairman of the Vietnam Club of Faculties-Institutes-Schools-Universities of ICT (FISU), Vice Chairman of CMC University Science and Training Council, together with all lecturers and staff from all faculties, offices, and units under CMC University.

On the side of CMC Corporation, participants include Mr. Ho Thanh Tung – CEO; Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Hai – Executive Vice Chairman, Managing Director; Mr. Le Thanh Son – CFO; Mr. Dang Ngoc Bao – CEO of CMC Global; PhD. Dang Minh Tuan – Director of CMC Technology Application Institute (CIST).

Opening the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Son – Senior Human Resources Advisor of the Chairman of CMC Corporation announced the decision of the CMC University Council on the appointment of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung to hold the position of Vice President of CMC University for the term 2022 – 2027.

Speaking to congratulate the new Vice President, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh – Chairman of the Board of Directors of CMC Corporation, Chairman of CMC University Council affirmed that this is an important event of the school. “Hopefully the School’s Presidential Board with the participation of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung will bring CMC University to grow stronger and train many engineers and bachelors to contribute to the development of the country.  I hope that the school will facilitate the best learning environment for students and achieve all the goals set out. Speaking at the announcement ceremony and awarding the appointment decision, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh – President of CMC University sent congratulations to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, and at the same time, expressed his desire and expectation of the new Vice President to fulfill his role and responsibility in the new position to successfully complete the tasks assigned in his term.

Besides, he emphasized the significance of the appointment of the Vice President as a driving force to create a great and solid strength for the Presidential Board, gradually strengthening, consolidating and improving quality of the leadership, contributing to the management of the school’s activities to become more professional. Thereby CMC University can realize the mission of “becoming a model for a digital university” that Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son has set expectations for the school, gradually accomplishing the great goals and aspirations with fast, methodical, accurate and effective development with each step achieved over the years.

Responding to the guidance of the Chairman of the School Council and the President at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung thanked the trust of the Chairman of the School Council, the Presidential Board and all lecturers and employees of CMC University. At the same time, he said, this task is not only an honor, but also a big challenge and responsibility. In response to that trust, as well as promoting the achievements in recent years, the new Vice President promised to be determined to bring all his dedication and intelligence to do his best to complete the assigned tasks, contributing to the overall development of the school.

“The leading task in training and quality assurance of CMC University is to build an advanced training environment, towards international standards, attracting foreign lecturers to participate in teaching, taking quality testing to adjust training and research activities to become more and more effective.” – The new Vice President spoke at the ceremony. Besides, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung also promoted the decisive role of human factor, emphasizing a focus on developing high quality lecturers with reasonable structure to meet training requirements and scientific research, promoting international announcement, focusing more on quality than quantity, building research labs in combination with the CMC Research and Application Institute to create new technology products, as well as connecting, building and diversifying domestic and international cooperation with partners and fields to meet the requirements of a multi-disciplinary university.

Attending the ceremony, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy – Chairman of FISU, Vice Chairman of the CMC University of Science and Training Council sent congratulations to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tung in his new role, while highlighting his successes in education and training, scientific and technological research. He also expressed his belief, encouraging the Presidential Board and the staff, the lecturers to unanimously build a united, strong group and excellently complete assigned tasks.

With the appointment of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, as the Vice President, CMC University has strengthened the Presidential Board according to the plan. At the end of the program, the entire board was officially introduced to all delegates at the ceremony.
